Understand Tribal Water Quality Standards

Achieve the desired tribal water quality standards when you complete our Tribal Voluntary Drinking Water and Wastewater Operator Certification Training and Testing Program. We have developed the program out of our commitment to ensure competency among all operators responsible for providing safe drinking water supplies and sanitary facilities to those living in Indian Country. 
 
Through this commitment and in partnership with the Association of Boards of Certification (ABC), we are pleased to offer a measured, proven certification program for operators of water and wastewater facilities nationwide. 
 
As a regular member of the ABC, we utilize the testing service that they provide. It is our hope that operators will apply and take the certification tests or upgrade their current status and test for the next levels. 

Voluntary Certification

The Tribal Operator Certification program is voluntary and should be used as a tool for operators to measure their success in the water and wastewater industry and achieve the professional status we strive for among peers, the public, and other professionals.

The following are the classes of certifications we offer:

  • Very Small Water Systems – Joint Certification – Treatment and Distribution
  • Water Treatment, Class 1-4
  • Water Distribution, Class 1-
  • Water Laboratory 1-2
  • Wastewater Treatment, Class 1-4
  • Wastewater Collection, Class 1-4
  • Wastewater Laboratory, Class 1-4
